Melody was our first filly foal.  Born on the wettest Sunday afternoon in living memory, 8 days early, we had brought her mother Lady in as she looked rather sorry for herself and a couple of hours later went back out to check to find a foal running around her mother.

Melody left us as a 2 year old to live near Settle with Gillian Woods and her three other Dales ponies, initially to keep another 2 year old company.  She lived a good life there, was broken sympathetically by Gillian with Nicola's help but due to a change in Gillian's circumstances Melody moved on to live in North Yorkshire a few years later, close to Stockton on Tees with Grace Challinor who now takes her all over the place, jumping, dressage, showing, with a good degree of success and lots of pleasure riding.
