Waterside Diana

Reg. 94/171   Sire Stoneriggs Alick  Dam Daisy Hill Star

DOB 28 August 1994

Section A, whole black

Height 14hh

Bred by the late Mr Walter Heap

Diana was the first Dales at the Close.  An absolute star she has taught many people to ride.  She has attitude, but is a safe, happy riding pony who has given many a rider a boost in confidence.  In our early years together Diana was shown and did very well and she gave us our love of this special breed.

In her later years, she is still ridden regularly and enjoys a jaunt around the local streets and lanes.  Her forte is to babysit younger ponies and she loves looking after foals when weaned from their mothers.  Being gentle in nature and able to discipline silently and without confrontation, she is the perfect pony for the job.

Diana had one foal, Pollyanna who we sadly lost aged just 36 days.  This we mention as we like to keep the memory of this special foal alive.  She was a FIS foal, and although this was a devastating experience for both Diana and our family, Pollyanna is the reason why there is now a test all pony owners can use to prevent the syndrome happening to them.
